Probably, there are a lot of people in your business that do what you do. They provide the same product at a price very close to yours. They just go about things a little differently. This would be your competition.
Anybody can dress up themselves and those that represent them and jump in the contest. Some just do it a lot better than others.
But, there’s always one. That one company or person that seems to capture the attention of everyone else.
(Just try to tell me that isn’t the cutest little fella you have ever seen. You can’t do it.)
Often times, these aren’t the guys with all the glitz. They are slow and steady.
They are aware, but not trying to be the ring leader.
They are open and willing to listen to new ideas and advice.
And after staying this course for as long as it takes…
People (ie customers) start wanting to know more about this guy. The quiet one. The one that is obviously comfortable and confident with what he’s doing.
And they listen! Customers ask the questions and listen for the answers because they are comfortable in knowing that this guy is serious about his business. No games. No big talk. All polite business. And before anybody else knows what’s going on, the deal is done.
And this guy? This quiet and deliberate cowboy? Well, he’s moseying on to the next big thing while you’re still shining your belt buckle. Business is business, ya know. Not a party. Be deliberate with your decisions to grow professionally and personally and customers will follow your boot-walking self right to the bank.
Grab your bootstraps, Cowboy. This game ain’t over yet.
